Bharat Bijlee in Forbes 'Asia's 200 Best under a Billion' list

MUMBAI: Power equipment maker Bharat Bijlee Ltd on Tuesday said it has posted a return on investment of over 2,000 per cent in the last three financial years, catapulting it to a list of select firms compiled by 'Forbes' magazine.

The firm is featured in the latest Forbes 'Asia's 200 Best under a Billion' list and it is only one of 17 companies from India to make the grade, a company release said here.

The company's General Manager, Corporate Strategy, Shome Danani, said "the timing of our expansions in the transformer and motor businesses has enabled us to achieve higher growth rates and deliver higher returns. We are extremely pleased that our performance has been recognised internationally."

Danani said the company was currently working toward building a scalable platform for growth to prepare for the future."
